Okay! If you do need to make a return here's what you need to know:
30-Day Easy Return Policy
If for any reason you're not happy with anything you ordered from us, just send it back to us within 30 days by following the instructions below.
The product must be in unused or 'like-new' condition - we encourage you to try any of our products to make sure you love it, but we cannot accept returns that are abused, stained, washed/laundered, have visible pet hair, or are otherwise damaged (unless the damage is the result of a manufacturer's defect, in which case it's likely covered under our Lifetime Warranty).
Holiday Extension: All purchases made in November or December are allowed an extended return window thru 1/31. We'll make it easy for the recipient to handle any returns or exchanges.
How To Return/Exchange An Item
If you'd like to return or exchange an item, just click the link below to initiate your return request.
We'll help you confirm that your item(s) are eligible for return/exchange and see if there's anything we can do that might help you avoid having to send an item back.
Once approved, we'll provide you with a paid postage label so you can easily send the item back to us. (The cost of the postage will be deducted from your refund unless the return is our fault, see below for details)
When sending items back, be sure to include a copy of your order receipt email or order number along with any pertinent phone/email contact info, so we can reach you if necessary.
How Much Do I Get Back?
When we receive the item(s) we'll process a refund for the full amount you paid for the item(s) minus:
- The postage paid on your initial order. Note: If you received Free Shipping on your order an $8 Postage Fee will be deducted from your refund amount to help cover the shipping costs we paid to send you the item you're returning.
- $8 Flat Rate Return Fee (Contiguous US). Of course, if the return or exchange is due to an error on our part, we'll gladly cover the shipping costs for you and not deduct it from your refund. Note: If you're returning an item from outside the Contiguous US we'll need to deduct the actual cost of the return postage label.
If exchanging for a different item, we'll collect the necessary payment info from you to ship the new item(s) to you (or refund you if there's a difference in your favor).
PLEASE NOTE: If the items we receive back from you are damaged, or not in the condition required by our Return Policy, we will not be able to issue you a refund as described above. We don't like that situation any more than you do, so please only send back items that are in like-new condition. If you have any questions about whether your return will be accepted before you send it, don't hesitate to reach out. If we have to decline your returned item, you will need to cover the postage cost if you'd like the item returned to you.
What If I Don't Have My Receipt?
If you purchased an item from us and don't have a receipt or proof of purchase we may be able to offer you store credit that can be used on our website (on a case-by-case basis).
This only applies to items that are returned in new/unused and re-sellable condition.
Trek Light Gear cannot accept returns for any used (even slightly-used) items without proof of purchase or receipt from our store. If you purchased through our website, or received a gift from someone, and can't find your receipt just let us know and we can help you look up the original order in our system.
If you purchased one of our products from another reseller or shop, you'll need to return the item to the store you purchased from and abide by their return policy.

As you've likely seen on our website, we stand behind our products with what we call our Happiness Guarantee. So, what does that mean exactly?
In a nutshell: We want you to be happy with what you buy from us, and if you aren't - you've got our promise that we'll always do whatever we can to bring you happiness.
Within reason, right? Maybe you're sad because everything in our store doesn't cost $1, or you wish our 30-day return window was actually 3 years - well, we need to have some policies and rules so we can survive as a small business.
